Empowering Children to Change the World
Mission and Vision
At Educate Young Lives, we strive to provide an affordable, quality education for underprivileged children around the world by raising funds for schools in order to help them support their students.
Our long-term vision is to establish self-sufficient schools in developing communities with adequate facilities, curriculum, teaching staff, funding, and values in order to support and inspire children to pursue their dreams.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
- Nelson Mandela
Education Crisis
In 2022, the United Nations reported that more than 244 million youth worldwide are out of school and 617 million lack basic mathematics and literacy skills. In Sub-Saharan Africa alone, 98 million children are not receiving an education, and this number is steadily increasing.

This data is more alarming than it seems at face value. Poor education standards in developing nations lead to major global issues, such as climate change, mass poverty, inadequate infrastructure, political corruption, inequality, and insufficient healthcare.

But most of all, the futures of millions of innocent kids are being thrown away. Without access to a formal education, impoverished children will be stuck in the never ending cycle of poverty and unemployment. Here at EYL, we believe that it's our duty to provide hope and empowerment to youth who suffer from such problems everyday by giving them access to a safe, and cost-effective education.
News and Updates
In March of 2022, our team traveled to Yanahuara, Peru to spend time with primary-grade children with special educational needs at San Martin de Porres public school. During the trip, they taught a class of second-grade students basic English words such as "thank you" and "excuse me." EYL has most recently resupplied the entire school with pens, whiteboard markers, notebooks, and printer ink cartridges.
